'Your Birth, Your Way'
I’d like to start by saying ‘Huge Congratulations on your pregnancy’.
So what is hypnobirthing?....... It’s not just breathing, although this is a huge part and it’s certainly not vagina whispering.
Hypnobirthing is an antenatal course that teaches you all the physiology of what happens to your body and your baby, however you choose to give birth. When you experience fear, your body responds by activating ‘fight or flight’ and this can lead to discomfort. Hypnobirthing will re-educate you on everything about birth. It will provide you knowledge and techniques and help to prepare you for a calm and positive birth. Hypnobirthing is not limited to being able to give birth ‘drug free’, but these techniques can be used for any birthing scenario, with or without drugs, including abdominal birth.

The fear of pain is the most common anxiety women experience. Hypnobirthing takes away this fear and will challenge misrepresentations of birth being really painful and something you can’t control. Hypnobirthing is about reclaiming control over your birth and having the confidence to know that your preferences matter. It is about taking a proactive approach to prepare for your most important achievement.
At the end of the course you will feel empowered to birth and your birth partner will feel confident to support you in any possible scenario. You will come away with skills and techniques that you can use as a parent once your baby is earth side. Plus if you do a group course, you will be part a community of other parents-to-be.
My own personal experience of four births, has allowed me to experience every birth scenario possible and I have learnt so much along the way which I’m ready to pass on. I am incredibly passionate about hypnobirthing and I chose to train using The Calm Birth Method because I believe it is the hypnobirthing method that priorities birth education and Wellbeing, which then allows a woman to make her own choices.

Four 2.5 hour weekly sessions or two 5 hour sessions (this can be flexible)
Weekend and evening classes available (in person or on zoom)

How to create your own ‘nest’ environment to help you relax and the power of self- hypnosis and visualisation.
Receive ongoing support from myself up until you give birth if you have further questions or concerns.
